When it came to editing this individuals paper, I chose to focus more on the global edits, since generally the local edits seem to be resolved as the editing continues over time. There is only one Organizational comment which I made. It was a very general suggestion, reminding the author of the paper to keep in mind the proper structure that is requested when it comes to writing a formal paper like this. The fourth comment that was made, was one I wrote regarding the thesis statement. This would fall under the “Idea” category since it is focusing on the individual’s thesis claim. Comment 6 is a small local edit, it is about the claim she made, however it is a simple edit about clarifying what she is saying. The next comment I made was number eight, and it focused on her evidence. It was calling on a portion of the paper and evidence that worked really well for her paper, just a comment about how it fit into that paper and that it was a good choice of evidence. Comment nine also falls under the evidence category since it touches on how the evidence mentioned is relevant to what is going on in current times. Comment thirteen is an comment that prods at the mentioning or relevance to a topic mentioned in her paper when it came to comparing older generations to the more current and younger ones. Another evidence comment would be the next one I made in this paper, where she could support her claims if she found and outside source to provide the audience or reader with some deeper knowledge on the topic regarding the claim. Comment 17 is one regarding ideas, just that it was a good idea to incorporate in the paper. Comment 19 is about the evidence, asking for her to have more evidence to support her claims that are being made.
